Top 25 preview

This is a value board, not a talent ranking. When one player sits above another here, it does not mean he is the better football player. It means that at current market prices, with everything weighed, he is the better pick at that point in a draft.

What gets weighed is the stuff nobody ranks by hand: his share of his team's work, his team's offensive environment and line play, his 17-game schedule measured against his specific archetype, weather exposure across the whole season with the fantasy playoff weeks counted double, his health history, his age curve, and what the market currently charges for him. A surprising rank is almost always one of those factors doing the talking, and the factor is printed on the row.

Round badges assume a 12-team league: picks 1 through 12 are R1, and so on. Reaches and steals are measured against that line.

How to use it: run it next to your platform's consensus ranks. The consensus tells you what the room thinks; this board tells you where the room is off, how far, and why. It is at its best on tough calls: two players you like, one pick. Expand both rows, compare the reasons, and decide. If you read a reason and disagree, trust yourself. The point of showing our work is that you get to check it.
